Nate Awbrey, head coach

In 2022-23, Nate Awbrey was a walk-on at Kansas State University under Jerome Tang. He appeared in 10 games, and his name was frequently chanted by fans in the final minutes of K-State games — “We want Awbrey!” Last year, Nate served as a K-State graduate assistant coach, developing opponent scouting reports, conducting individual workouts for players, and teaching opposing team sets and defensive strategies.

Prior to his time at K-State, he played four years at Manhattan Christian College where he was a standout point guard and shooting guard, earning both All-Region and All-Conference selections.  He was a finalist for the Pete Maravich Award, an award given by the National Christian College Athletic Association to recognize excellence in basketball, academics and Christian service.

Nate also served as the head coach for four Spradling Skills Academy teams, an AAU program.
