Shawn Springer spent 23 years serving as a principal in Andover and Wichita. Springer began his career as a 1st and 2nd grade teacher in USD 259 Wichita. After nine years, he shifted to administration and served as an elementary principal for 21 years. He earned the title “turnaround principal” for his work helping get schools back on track.
After retiring from USD 259, he became principal at Prairie Creek Elementary in Andover.
From his earliest days as a principal, Springer had a goal of returning to the classroom. Springer chose to resume teaching at Trinity Academy in 2024.
